The idea of helping homeless animals was born three years ago. It was named Pifas. In order for it to exist we had to give up our personal lives, pleasures, vacations and leisure time, for there was no break in the suffering of poor homeless animals. We simply couldn’t turn our backs against them and hope that somehow they would survive. Therefore hundreds of lives have been rescued and many animals already found new loving homes. You can read their success stories in "SOS animals" rescue diaries.

Rescuing is a hard work that requires a lot of efforts. Animals are in need of serious help every day and they can not wait for some future projects to get approved and financial help to be given, they can not wait until we figure out an easier way to help them. They need our help right now. This work, however, brings bliss – at the end of the day you realize how much good you did today and how much more you will do tomorrow.

For this meaningful work to continue there has to be a strong team with such concept: all for one and one for all. "SOS animals" team is dedicated to working honestly and doing everything in its power to help those in need. Our goal is to continue to unite like-minded people throughout Lithuania, capable of planning their actions effectively: some would write projects and coordinate work, others would literally give a helping hand to suffering animals, provide care and find them new homes. There are always things to do so everybody is welcome to contribute; even the busiest people could sacrifice a little bit of their precious time – our success depends on every participant. It is extremely important to spread our ideas and activity around the country in order to help more animals in need. We encourage everyone to become a part of "SOS animals". Only together we can make a difference!
